Virginia’s Region 2000 Workforce Development Board (WDB) provides key strategic leadership in regional economic development specifically as it relates to identifying regional workforce needs, guiding efforts to meet those needs, and assisting and supporting those partner agencies and organizations whose focus is also on improving the workforce system and the community.  Additionally, the WDB is responsible for administering and overseeing the federal Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act’s (WIOA) Adult, Dislocated Worker and Youth programs in Region 2000.  Through its primary service delivery location, the Region 2000 Workforce Center, the WDB offers programs that are designed to assist job seekers access employment, education, training, and supportive services in order to succeed in the labor market and to match employers with the skilled workers they need to compete in today’s competitive economy.  To access additional information and discover additional services offered, visit Virginia’s Region 2000 Workforce Development Board today.
